Slowburn

The latest product of our breeding program, Slowburn is an interspecific hybrid with a particularly attractive capcaisinoid profile. Unlike the vast majority of chillies, the heat is not immediately apparent but builds slowly into a very pleasant glow. The flavour is rich and complex, taking elements from both its parents, and has proved extremely popular in tastings.
Vigorous plants resembling the baccatum parent in growth habit carry remarkably heavy crops of orange chillies which are equally suited to being used fresh or dried.
